Prayer Partners for a Church Planting Movement (CPM)
in the Mid-South District

What is a Church Planting Movement?

A Church Planting Movement (CPM) occurs when God moves local churches to rapidly and regularly plant multiple new churches as a normal part of being and doing church. The Book of Acts describes numerous Church Planting Movements, where the Gospel spread rapidly from church to church and “house to house” (Acts 20:20). Even today, in places like China, Indonesia, and Africa, CPMs are prayed for and experienced. But what about here in the United States? Could a Church Planting Movement occur here? And could the Mid-South District be involved? We believe that with God (and prayer) it is possible!

What is a Prayer Partner?

A Prayer Partner is someone who joins together with others to pray regularly and specifically for a common need. We know from Scriptures that there is great power in agreeing in prayer. Jesus said, “that if two of you agree on earth about anything that they may ask, it shall be done for them by My Father who is in heaven. For where two or three have gathered together in My name, there I am in their midst” (Matthew 18:19-20).

What am I being asked to do?

As a CPM Prayer Partner, I intend to pray for the following items on a weekly basis. I also understand that I am committing to pray until the end of the year 2003. At that time, I may decide whether I would like to continue to be a part of the CPM Prayer Team for the Mid-South District. I will expect to be informed on a monthly basis about the status of the movement in order to celebrate the prayers that God has answered.

It is my desire to willingly accept this request and with God's help remember the Mid-South District Church Planting in my prayers. (Please complete the form below and hit the submit button when finished)
