HIGHER EDUCATION

The Board for Higher Education supports and guides the two LCMS seminaries, which supply pastors for LCMS congregations, and governs the Synod's Concordia University System, which consists of 10 colleges and universities.
Seminaries
For the Sake of the Church is a 12-year/$400 million endowment effort designed to double the LCMS student enrollment in the Concordia University System and assist every young person in the membership to attend one of the 10 colleges or universities.

The Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod also focuses on promoting and facilitating the professional growth and personal well-being of LCMS church workers through the Commission on Ministerial Growth and Support.
